News brought to you by Primus; Business VoIP specialistsMicrosoft subsidiary Tellme has announced that it is integrating GlobalCrossing VoIP services into its contact centre call packages.The company claims that call centres can save as much as 60 per cent on per-minute costs using GlobalCrossing, while also lowering transfer and local number service costs."Our goal is to give enterprises technology that improves the customer experience but also affords them the ultimate financial flexibility when deploying voice services," said Jamie Bertasi, senior director of Business Solutions at Tellme.He added that customers using the VoIP service are seeing immediate returns from the point of initial deployment onwards and insisted that potential users will be excited by the cost savings potential of the product.In other product expansion news, Alianza has announced this week that it will be providing US carriers Zing and TransWorld with a hosted VoIP solution for their customers.The Zing hosted VoIP service is set to be delivered over WiMax.Learn more about Primus Telecommunication LTD

| Bangladeshi govt calls for VoIP freedom |

News brought to you by Primus; Business VoIP specialistsThe Bangladeshi government has put forward proposals to relax regulations governing the burgeoning VoIP market in order to allow it to create a steady revenue stream from the growing IP telecoms market.According to national newspaper the Daily Star, a parliamentary standing committee made recommendations on a number of reforms that are designed to streamline and optimise the country's telecoms market.Among the items under discussion was the problem of eradicating illegal VoIP calls and traffic. Politicians agreed that the irrational pricing of some legitimate VoIP providers was providing an opportunity for illegal VoIP carriers to attract customers on the black market with cheaper headline rates.The committee promoted a reduction in per-minute costs on VoIP calls that would blunt the competitive edge of some illegal providers.In other recent developments, the UK telecoms industry has made in-roads into the expansion of mobile VoIP offerings with the announcement that a major cellular carrier would offer free VoIP calls over its network.See what features Primus Virtual Phone can offer
